Wickford Regatta September 12-13

All,

A straw poll taken at the NE 100 this weekend showed very solid interest in having an informal Wickford Regatta September 12-13. I have been on the fence about going forward given the constantly changing Covid 19 dynamics, but things look pretty good at the moment. Those expressing solid interest were: Skip Whyte, Joe Valante, Guilianos, Todd Riccardi, Bulgers, Ian Ray, Lars Guck. There is no NoR as yet and the event will be very informal. No social events. We may or may not have online registration. Like everything else this year, the situation is fluid.

On the positive side, I expect that it will be OK to arrive a couple of days early if people want to do some practicing, but there won’t be any wash down available until Friday afternoon.

I’d appreciate hearing back from any and all regarding your intent to participate if we go ahead. All of this needs to come together in a few days.

If anyone has or knows of others who might be interested in help run the event, we could use a few hands. We really need a few power boats as my typical Wickford Yacht Club armada won’t be available this year.
