Hi Folks
I am still banging my head over this issue regarding Carsta error and wondered if anyone would be so kind and offer some help.
Basically I am using an old Earthdata PS2400 digitiser but the module which reads the data into the wavering appears to output the wrong tracebuffer version as below
WBK.HHZ.GB.00 (0x0 0x0) 0 i4 75 75.0 2021/07/15 20:30:56.00 (1626381056.0000) 2021/07/15 20:30:56.99 (1626381056.9867) i255 m143 t19 len 364 [D:1.70s F: 1.0s]
I have been informed that the text in yellow background is the version number for the tracebuf and should be tracebuf2 and be (0x32 0x30).
It is evident that Carlsta refuses to accept this message and dies with the error code 16.
The EW2Heli module runs ok and produces the heliplots , I just need carlsta to work now.
Would it be possible for someone to guide me through the source code for the module in order to correct this issue ?
It would be a great shame to fail on such a small hurdle and not get this sorted as I have a few of these Earthdata PS2400 digitisers which I could put to use.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Mitch
Thanks for your reply
As you say I do have a location code defined. What I may try is to set the location code to "--" and see if anything changes.
The digitiser is an old Earthdata PS2400 (3 channel device) and no EW modules existed for this.
However, a guy on the forum "El Berto" modified/wrote a module for me to test, this module takes data from the PS2400 digitiser and stuffs it into the Wavering then Heli2EW creates the traces ,
That part works fine, I am guessing that the Heli2EW module is not as fussy as CarlSta module !
I will report my findings at a later date
Best regards

Those should be the version number for the tracebuf. Mine are all tracebuf2 and have (0x32 0x30). I do not know if (0x0 0x0) is the problem but it may suggest you have a different tracebuf version than you should. If you have a location code, it should be tracebuf2 and it appears you have a location code so it isn't clear to me why the version would be 0.
