Dear Forum,

Is it good protocol to direct all incoming data to an EW Instance through wftimefilter.d to manage time differences that may be present?

If so, is it prudent to:
  •  UseOriginalInstId        1          restamp packets with INST_"MyInstall-ID"   (whatever your install ID is set to)
  •  LogGap                     15.0        Minimum gap duration (seconds) for which a log entry is made.
  • TimeJumpTolerance   600        (Seconds)  This term is used to catch packets with Dubious timestamps.
The values above seem reasonable.

Regards, Mark

Yes, especially if you have data loggers that can jump into the future randomly.  We have seen this with numerous digitizer manufacturers.
