Good day all,
I am trying to share data from earthworm to seiscomp.
I have a ringserver running but when I try to connect, No data is being shared. The ringserver get data from a ew2ringserver module

 slinktool -I 19x.x.x:18000
SeedLink server: SeedLink v3.1 (2013.284 Ring Server SeedLink) :: SLPROTO:3.1 CAP EXTREPLY NSWILDCARD BATCH
Organization   : EQU Ring Server
Start time     : 2022-11-23 14:06:28

  slinktool -Q 19x.x.x:18000
[log]$
[log]$  slinktool -L 19x.x.x:18000
[ log]$

 slinktool -i CONNECTIONS 19x.x.x:18000
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<seedlink software="SeedLink v3.1 (2013.284 Ring Server SeedLink) :: SLPROTO:3.1 CAP EXTREPLY NSWILDCARD BATCH" organization="EQU Ring Server" started="2022-11-23 14:06:28">
  <station name="CLIENT" network="SL" description="Ringserver Client" begin_seq="000000" end_seq="000000" stream_check="enabled">
    <connection host="19x.x.x" port="48194" ctime="2022-11-23 17:32:41" begin_seq="0" current_seq="unset" sequence_gaps="0" txcount="0" totBytes="0" begin_seq_valid="yes" realtime="yes" end_of_data="no"/>
  </station>
</seedlink>

I have also tried to use the ew2sc3 module to collect same, but there is still no data being pushed to my seiscomp server. The earthworm buffer sending over the data has data present when sniffwave is done

if you don't see anything with slinktool -Q then the data isn't in the
ringserver... So check the ringserver configs, check the ew2ringserver
module configs as well. Make sure you're sending it miniseed format, you
may need to use tbuf2mseed to convert to miniseed before you get the
data over to the ringserver.

Hello Paul,

Regarding ew2sc3, this module is intended to exchange located earthquake messages only (type_hypo2000arc from Earthworm).
It will not be able to handle waveform exchange.

Using ringserver and seedlink is the right way to do this data exchange.
Do you have any clues in ew2ringserver or ringserver log files that would give you some hint about why you don't see any data ?

Regards.

Jean-Marie.

ew2ringserver does not need the data to be in miniSEED first, it will process either either Tracebufs or miniSEED.
