Hi all! I am designing a working memory task with two parts and need some assistance setting it up.

Here are the instructions for Part 1: "During each trial, girls will fixate on a central dot for 1000ms before a face (angry, sad, happy, neutral) is randomly presented in the center of the screen for 1500ms. Girls will be asked to remember the identity of the actor and will be tested on their memory of the identity after a 1000ms delay. One of the faces should be the face the participant is supposed to remember. The other three faces should be randomly selected, but all four faces should be the same emotion and gender as the face the participant was asked to remember.  Stimuli are pictures of 16 adolescent actors (8 boys/8 girls) displaying each emotion from the NIMH-ChEFS stimulus set. Each stimulus will be tested three times, totaling 192 trials (i.e., 16 IDs × 4 emotions × 3 trials; 48 trials/emotion)."

And the instructions for Part 2: "During each trial, girls will fixate on a central dot for 1000ms before a face (angry, sad, happy) is randomly presented in the center of the screen for 500ms. This face will then disappear, and the participant will see a black page with a central fixation dot for 500ms. Then, a second face will be randomly presented in the center of the screen for 500ms (angry, sad, happy, neutral). Girls will be asked to remember the identity of the second actor and will be tested on their memory of the identity after a 1000ms delay. Each stimulus will be tested twice, totaling 288 trials (i.e., 3 primes × 16 IDs × 3 emotions × 2 trials; 32 trials/prime/emotion). Part 2 of the task should more or less be built in the same way as Part 1. The differences are the prime (an angry, happy, or sad face before the test stimuli) and that the faces appear for less time (500ms instead of 1500ms). "

We have not been able to get to Part 2; the issue we have been facing in Part 1 is that the target stimuli keeps appearing in the same top left Button 1 position even though the button position is randomized within nested lists for each stimuli as can be seen in the attached project file. The advisor findings also keeps saying that the ImageFile Property for Button 4 of each StimTest uses an attribute name that cannot be found even though the attribute is defined in the nested lists. The file also keeps saying there is no correct response found for our N6 file even though this is also defined in the nested lists. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! I've been looking through previous threads here for a while and have not been able to find an exact solution, and am trying to avoid using InLine code as I am not proficient in E-Basic.
Thanks!

I can help with this next week? It’s seems like pretty simple design. Maybe on Monday we can hash this out? Sean
