Hi there, we are progressing with our upgrade from DSpace 5 to DSpace 7.

We are now at the stage of getting Symplectic Elements to talk with DSpace 7 via RT2, and the deposit does seem to work correctly. We can access the file in DSpace 7, but attempting to view the file from Elements brings up a "Not Found" page.

As far as I can tell from the logs, the API account is logged in and the item gets requested, but no further action is taken after that (replaced email for security reasons):

We are unsure if this is an issue with Symplectic Elements (we are in active talks with them over the issue) or if it is a DSpace 7 issue. We can see it is attemping to access the correct item that links to the file ID specified in the Elements URL, but since the issue seems to occur in DSpace with it stopping at that stage, I am leaning towards DSpace. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Hi Lachlan,

The last request in the log excerpt looks like a request for the item metadata, rather than the file:
GET /server/api/core/items/d7be7e4c-588d-4aeb-8934-7a977edd7af6

This was probably sent when you opened the publication's page in Elements, since the system does a refresh of RT2 repository metadata at that point. The request for the file would probably have happened slightly later.

Also, if you still have the RT1 connection set up in Elements, please double-check that you're clicking on the RT2 file links, not the RT1 links which will now be broken.

Best wishes,
Ben
