new "Browse By" Option failure

Hi!

I am trying to add a new "Browser by" option to my dspace service and I'm getting the following information:

"The requested browse doesn't provide direct access to items you must specify a filter"

My custom metadata created in Dspace is "dc.date.fechaoriginal" and the line added in the "dspace.cfg" file is:

webui.browse.index.4 = fechaoriginal:metadata:dc.date.fechaoriginal:date

What's wrong? Is there something incomplete?

Hi Rubén,

It's not clear which version of DSpace you are using.  But, assuming you are using DSpace 7.x, you should be able follow the "Defining the Indexes" instructions in the documentation here:

It's not just modifying the configuration.  As detailed there you also will need to run the Discovery Maintenance Script to reindex your content (./dspace index-discovery -b).
