Hi Tim,
in version DSpace 8 I saw an incorrect display of math symbols in the abstract. Is it possible to fix this problem? In version 7.6 the display of math symbols is correct. (see attachment).
Is it possible to enable the mathjax function for the title of publication?

Hi Alex,

In case you hadn't seen it yet, I believe this bug was already fixed in https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/issues/3111   It will be in an eventual 8.1 release (not yet scheduled, but likely to come out later this year).

At this point in time, the MathJax functionality is only enabled for the "dc.description.abstract" field here:
https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/blob/dspace-8_x/src/app/item-page/simple/field-components/specific-field/abstract/item-page-abstract-field.component.ts#L52

There are currently no configurations that allow you to enable it for other fields.  That said, it might be possible to customize the code directly if you wanted to enable additional fields. I don't have a guide for how to do that, but if you (or someone else) figures out a way to do so, we do welcome code contributions from anyone back to DSpace.
