Hi,

It sounds like you are using Configurable Entities and just trying to get the "Person" entity to have a thumbnail?  https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Configurable+Entities

If so, all you need to do is upload the image into the Person object itself.  Edit the Person object, and upload the Image into the "ORIGINAL" bundle.  Then run "filter-media" and it should create your thumbnail.

However, if I'm misunderstanding your use case / need, then it'd be helpful to describe your setup better.  It's also unclear what version of DSpace you are using, and this "Configurable Entities" feature doesn't exist until DSpace 7.x.

Hi DSpace-CRIS is a separate system from DSpace.  It's managed/supported by 4Science. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACECRIS/

I can only answer questions on DSpace, as I'm not involved in the DSpace-CRIS system.

For DSpace 7, there are no thumbnails for Collections.  However, you can add a Collection *logo* by editing the Collection.  Here's a screenshot (notice you can drag & drop a logo): https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Edit+Collection#EditCollection-EditMetadata

When adding a logo it only appears on the Collection page at this time.  I don't know if this works differently in DSpace-CRIS.

‘Edit the Person object, and upload the Image into the "ORIGINAL" bundle.’

In my case person is collection so how to do above step

Hi,

If the Persons are *inside* the Collection already, then the Person object is an *Item* in DSpace.  That means you can edit each Person Item *one by one* and upload the Image into the "ORIGINAL" bundle like I said previously.  For information on Editing Items, see the screenshots at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Edit+Item#EditItem-Bitstreamstab

In DSpace, all objects *inside* of a Collection are Items.  All Items can be edited in the same way and you can change the metadata or add new files later on.

Hi,

All I can recommend is reloading everything in your browser a few times to see if something is temporarily cached.  Or try a different browser and see if it works there (if so, that means the issue is likely temporary)

If that isn't working, then you need to get in touch with the DSpace-CRIS team at 4Science.  As I noted, I cannot support DSpace-CRIS as I'm not involved with that system.  I can verify that this works in DSpace, but it's possible that there's a customization to DSpace-CRIS which is causing it to *not* work.
