Playing in The DS8 Sandbox

I have been playing with submissions to the DS8 sandbox and have created a Top level Community as "User Chris" . I was pleased with the audio media player, thank you!

Is IIIF support enabled? I get a viewer window, but only see an embedded copy of the web page with a 404 error. This is an important feature we need to be comfortable with before upgrading our repository.

Hi Chris,

At this time, IIIF functionality is not enabled on the Sandbox (https://sandbox.dspace.org/) or Demo (https://demo.dspace.org/) sites as it requires running additional software (a IIIF image server).  Instead, just the basic media player (for video, audio and images) is enabled on these sites.

However, DSpace does provide basic IIIF support as documented at https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/IIIF+Configuration   This IIIF support is essentially the same in DSpace 7.6.x as it will be in the upcoming 8.0 release.
