EOL DSpace 5x

Hello!

Can you help me clarify the EOL for DSpace 5 on 1/1/2023?

Does this mean DSpace 5x will no longer be updated?  (I assume yes by definition).

Does this mean DSpace 5x tech support (questions) will no longer be entertained?

There will be no further software releases for those major versions.

Have you read https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Support+for+DSpace+5+and+6+is+ending+in+2023 ?

Tech questions will surely be answered.

Hi Sarah,

I want to back up what Hrafn said.  Questions are always welcome on mailing lists regardless of the version of DSpace you are running.  We still sometimes see questions specific to DSpace 1.x, 3.x or 4.x (all of which are unsupported) on mailing lists.

I just added a new question to our FAQ to clarify this further:
