unexpected error message after Forcing insecure connections through https

Hello,
I recently tried to use the instructions on this URL to force https connections
https://medium.com/@anil7017/redirect-http-request-to-https-in-apache-tomcat-bcd710daabf4
however despite working, dSpace showed an unexpected error message when loading the index.jsp page so I had to disable it.

So I was wondering if you can recommend me any additional settings to fix this issue
