Data Harvesting

Hi,

Is there a way for dspace 7.6 to harvest publications affiliated to certain academic institutions automatically?

I want dspace to fetch metadata and files automatically (Only those published by members of my academic institution of course) from other publication platforms such as google scholar.

Hi,

No, DSpace cannot harvest from Google Scholar.  Google Scholar doesn't allow any systems to harvest from it. 

DSpace *can* harvest from sites that provide an OAI-PMH endpoint though, see https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/OAI#OAI-OAI-PMH/OAI-OREHarvester(Client)   But, that requires that the academic institution has a system which shares an OAI-PMH endpoint that allows for external harvesting.
