Hi,
I have a well running dspace 7.6 on a production server secured with letsencrypt.
Uploading of files and deposition works fine without any error but uploaded items don't appear on recently added items or anywhere even on mydspace page. I don't see any errors in the logs that could lead to this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

Hi,
I have added add the line ReadWritePaths=/dspace/ on systemctl edit --full tomcat9.service , created upload folder and change ownership to tomcat, change ownership of assetstore to tomcat but still items are uploaded and deposited successful without any error but are not archived and thus can not be seen anywhere in the repository. I am very stuck as researchers in my institution can not upload their works on the dspace. Any help please

Hi,

If Items are not appearing at all, that likely means they are not being indexed successfully in Apache Solr (or maybe your DSpace application is having difficulty communicating with Solr).  All search/browse interfaces in DSpace use Solr to provide the data.. so if the data doesn't make it into Solr, then it won't appear in the search/browse.

Issues with Solr should always appear in the logs or in other error messages.  Use our troubleshooting guide to look for underlying errors as they should give you (and us) clues as to what may be going wrong. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)

Thanks you.
I had to re install and everything is working fine. But I have another question on search engine optimization and google Scholar indexing of contents. They are not searchable on search engines. I have robots.txt file with sitemap url correctly and accessible on web but with only disallow parameters entries, should i add “allow” entry for google bots to be able to index it or there is other way of making indexing happen?
