"error -Command failed with exit code 134" while running yarn build:prod

Greetings to all, 

i am installing DSpace 8.1 on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS. While executing  "Yarn build:prod" i experienced an error- command failed with exit code 134.

Kindly suggest a solution.

Hi Sakshi,

We don't have enough information to provide help.  You'd have to give more information about your setup, and share the exact error stacktrace that shows an "exit code 134".  My best guess is that Node might be running out of memory, but I'm not sure if that's the problem.  Nonetheless, here's a guide for how to give Node more memory: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC8x/Performance+Tuning+DSpace#PerformanceTuningDSpace-GiveNode.jsmorememory

If that doesn't help, please share more information including the version of Node and Yarn you are using.

It resolved the issue. 

The problem was resolved by increasing the size of node.js memory to 4GB, i.e., by running

"export NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=4096"
