Hi,

I would like to share two things I have found so far.
1. On DSpace 7 installation, at step 14 (dspace]/bin/dspace create-administrator), I typed by mistake "joshua71$yahoo.com" (NOTICE: not @ but $). But surprisingly it went through. On the dspace 7 web site, I am able to log in. It should be a concern of security??
2. My OS system is Centos 8. At step 13,  I copied cores to  [solr]/server/solr/configsets. But it did not work. So when I put the cores to /var/solr/data/configsets, Solr cores are working.

I also have two questions.
1. I thought discovery module is at default on DSpace 7. But https://demo7.dspace.org/home does not display discovery. How can I make the discovery module to be displayed on the main page?

2. It seems Solr and Dspace 7 are working. I am able to create collection, community, and items. But when I click "statistics", it always show 0 (Zero). Any help?

No, this isn't a security issue, as it's letting you login under an account you created. However, the command-line tool sounds like it might have a bug because it didn't validate your email address (and let you enter any username you wanted). I'd recommend changing your login to a valid email address though, otherwise you will not receive emails from DSpace.

2. My OS system is Centos 8. At step 13,  I copied cores to  [solr]/server/solr/configsets. But it did not work. So when I put the cores to /var/solr/data/configsets, Solr cores are working.

Yes, this directory may be in different locations on different operating systems (it's hard to provide a guide for every single OS).  We already have a note on that step saying "NOTE: On Debian systems the configsets may be under /var/solr/data/configsets".

I also have two questions.
1. I thought discovery module is at default on DSpace 7. But https://demo7.dspace.org/home does not display discovery. How can I make the discovery module to be displayed on the main page?

Discovery is used almost everywhere in DSpace 7.  However, unlike DSpace 6 and below, at this time we do not display facets on the homepage. But, if you conduct a search (from the header or searchbar), you'll see all the same Discovery facets.

2. It seems Solr and Dspace 7 are working. I am able to create collection, community, and items. But when I click "statistics", it always show 0 (Zero). Any help?

We would need more information here. It's nearly impossible to say exactly what is happening without more information about your setup & what you've tried.  But, first, I'd recommend checking for errors in Solr or Tomcat or the DSpace logs to see if Statistics are not being captured by your site, or if the Statistics page is throwing an error.  Here's a guide for finding errors in DSpace 7. https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error#Troubleshootanerror-DSpace7.x(orabove)
