Hello,

I was wondering whether it was possible to prevent one specific collection from being indexed in Google Scholar or by search engines (ie. such that the only way to view the collection would be by navigating through the links in the DSpace repository itself).  I don't thiiiink it's possible (it looks from the configuration documentation for Google Scholar that it's all collections are harvested, or none: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Google+Scholar+Metadata+Mappings ), but I thought I'd ask in case someone knows otherwise.

Thanks so much,
Carolyn.

presumably your right - if it is not too much, you can put the item URL
into the robots.txt - at least most, maybe not all harvesters respect it.
This might work for some items, but if you have hundreds, this will be
some work :) .
Last bastion is a location directive in the apache config, then.
