DSpace 6.3 Take Task for New Item Submitted

Hello,

We are running DSpace 6.3 and would like to invoke the Take Task functionality when we import data into DSpace. Currently, we observe that the Take Task function works with manual submission only. Can anyone share how to handle this?

Workflow should not be aware of how a submission came into the
repository. The first thing that I would check is whether batch
submissions are being done with workflow disabled.

For example: 'bin/dspace import' by default bypasses workflow. You
must add the '-w' or '--workflow' option to enable it.

If this is not the problem, then please describe more fully how you
are importing materials.
