mvn package failed for DSpace Cris 2023.01.00 on Debian 12

Hi all,

I have a fresh installed Debian 12 machine, maven 3.8.7, openjdk version
"17.0.8"

I follwed the DSpace installation process described in
https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Installing+DSpace

I checked out DSpace Cris dspace-cris-2023.01.00. Haven't done any
modifications except in local.cfg

When running 'mvn package' it fails with the error

Failed to execute goal on project additions: Could not resolve
dependencies for project
org.dspace.modules:additions:jar:cris-2023.01.01-SNAPSHOT: The following
artifacts could not be resolved:
org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:cris-2023.01.01-SNAPSHOT,
org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:tests:cris-2023.01.01-SNAPSHOT,
org.dspace:dspace-services:jar:cris-2023.01.01-SNAPSHOT: Could not find
artifact org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:cris-2023.01.01-SNAPSHOT in
maven-central (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2)

The only unusual stuff I find in the logs (mvn -e) is

[WARNING] The POM for org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:cris-2023.01.00 is
missing, no dependency information available
[WARNING] The POM for org.dspace:dspace-api:jar:tests:cris-2023.01.00 is
missing, no dependency information available
[WARNING] The POM for org.dspace:dspace-services:jar:cris-2023.01.00 is
missing, no dependency information available

when building DSpace Kernel :: Additions and Local Customizations
cris-2023.01.00 [2/4]

Just for testing purposes I did 'mvn package' on the same machine with
DSpace 7.6, which compiles fine.

Due to the above error I also checked the existence of the POM files in
DSpace 7.6 and DSpace Cris. I found the same files (by name).

Does anybody have a glue what I may have missed or what could be wrong.

I've attached the mvn logs (done with 'mvn --color never -X package').
Maybe anybody recognize the error.

How did you fix this ? if you fixed it.
