Hi,
We are currently working with DSpace 7.4, as in DSpace7.4 we can import CSV files from our local machines. However, we are now looking to import CSV files directly from Google Drive. We were wondering if anyone has experience with this and could provide some guidance on how to achieve it.

Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,
Tarun

Hi,

I'm assuming you are trying to use the Batch Metadata Editing import process?  https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Batch+Metadata+Editing

If so, that unfortunately cannot take the URL of a CSV as an input.   It requires the CSV file to be either uploaded via the Admin UI or referenced locally from commandline.

My only idea would be to see if you can "mount" or connect your Google Drive to a local directory.  Then DSpace should see those CSV files as local files, and you may be able to import them in the same way as local files.

Tim
