DataCite Metadata: Why does my DSpace register a first and last name for 'HostingInstitution'?

Hello all,

I have this weird problem where our DataCite is registering a first and last name for hostingInstitution and DataManager despite us giving it an institutional name:

We changed crosswalk.dissemination.DataCite.publisher to "Université d'Ottawa | University of Ottawa" in our local.cfg.prod, which will get rid of the default 'My University', but it's going to still try to give us a first and last name for our university.  How do we get it to omit nameType/givenName/familyName in this section?  Or are those fields being created as part of the DataCite Schema somehow in the top section of DIM2DataCite.xsl here:

Any insights would be greatly appreciated <3

Hi Carolyn,

We had a similar problem, but it helped to specify in the crosswalk that it is about an organization. You can do this by adding the attribute nameType with the Value 'Organizational':

    <xsl:attribute name="contributorType">HostingInstitution</xsl:attribute>
    <contributorName>
        <xsl:attribute name="nameType" select="'Organizational'"/>
        <xsl:value-of select="$hostinginstitution" />
    </contributorName>
</xsl:element>
