Hi,

The search tab can't be disabled in DSpace 8.0. You need to upgrade to DSpace 8.2, see:

Alternatively, you can manually modify the Angular front end in your DSpace installation. See the changes in https://github.com/DSpace/dspace-angular/pull/4436/files
