Hello Karol,

full (bidirectional) integration with ORCID API v.2 is only possible with DSpace-CRIS 6.3 JSPUI, more information available here:

This patch adds additional ORCID related functionalities to the pre-existing REST api in DSpace. It exposes ORCID ids in the REST api as well as allows for ORCID based searching, authority updates through REST, etc, the full list of features can be found in the [Functionality overview](functionality.md). Under the funding and contribution of [King Abdullah University of Science and Technology](https://www.kaust.edu.sa/), the patch has been developed and is maintained by Atmire, a registered service provider for DSpace.

Dear Massoud,

your link is very useful, but the functionality is not even remotely comparable.
Other than lookup and authentication, DSpace-CRIS provides FULL SYNCHRONIZATION with the ORCID API v.2, that is the possibility to pull and push complete information about publications, researchers' profiles, and projects, bidirectionally between the repository and ORCID.
I hope this helps,
Susanna
