Duplicate Items while updating metadata

Hi everyone,

I'm ingesting the data into dspace with metada in dublin_core.xml through zip import. But if I import the same zip file, dspace is creating duplicate entries. Is there any possibility to update the existing article instead of creating duplicate entry

Hi Rathan,

If you are simply trying to update the metadata in an existing item, the easiest way to do so is via the User Interface.  Or if you wish to do it in bulk, I'd recommend the Batch Metadata Editing tool: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Batch+Metadata+Editing

This is also a separate "itemupdate" command which should allow for updates using that Simple Archive Format structure: https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC7x/Updating+Items+via+Simple+Archive+Format
