Reuse a bitstream from item to another item

Hello everyone! 

Is there a way to reuse a bitstream of an item so that it can also be viewed by another item?

I would like to be able to reuse a previously uploaded bitstream, so as not to have to duplicate it in another item. Is there any way to do it?

If the asset store still works the way it worked in DSpace 4.2 (the latest I’ve explored in detail), then adding duplicate bitstreams will not store two copies – one copy will be referenced multiple times.

maybe just using the item mapper might suit your use case.

With this the same item can be in multiple collections at once.
