Set up and operation of authority control / controlled vocabulary

Hello,

I am trying to set up authority control for fields "author", "contributor", "creator", "subject" and "keyword", would anyone you please advice how to set up?

And, do anyone of you have experience on hand over the operation task of DSpace to someone who know nothing about authority control and DSpace? What should I aware in this regard?
