How to move contents from DSpace to other platforms and preserve handle

Hello everyone,

We are currently using DSpace 6.4 and in a process of researching the next IR platforms. One of the options is to move some of the contents (culture heritage materials, datasets, and etc.) to other platforms, and keep the rest in DSpace. 

For items that would be moving out of DSpace, we want to preserve the handles already generated by DSpace.  Is it possible to run multiple handle servers over one prefix for different platforms?
