Good Afternoon all. Please, am a repository manager from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. We are working with some vendors on our repository and they disenabled what we had formally and gave us this (www.futospace.futo.edu.ng). Since then we have been encountering a lot of issues on the platform bordering mainly internal system errors and others in the course of submission and editing. As a result, we have asked them to revert to the status quo but I have discovered that they are finding it difficult to do so as they said DSpace is limited in design and it involves money. This afternoon, they came up with this (photo below). They said it's from an official DSpace trainer. Am not am an IT person but a repository manager. I want to know if this is true and what can be done to get us back to where we were.  Please your kind assistance is highly and urgently needed. Thank you all.

Hello Colette,

I am a repository manager for the State University of New York, USA, and also have IT experience, although our repositories are managed by Atmire and I do not have experience with installing and setting up DSpace. However, the screenshot you share is a YouTube video, and in my opinion any professional vendor would have saved your previous instance and would have easily been able to revert. Also, they would have had the new instance up and running before trying to migrate. I am sorry to say this, and wish I could help. Hopefully others on this thread will be able to offer advice, other than, don't give any more money to this vendor.

Hello colette, the dspace is an open source institutional repository without any limit to customization. There is no limitation to  the design and customization, can you tell us details of the installation?
1. Your dspace previous and current installation version e.g 6.3
2. Mode of deployment? cloud or local server
3. Operating system? linux or windows
4. Did you backup your database and assetstore?
Note:
 What error are you getting when submitting a document and users registration?

Good evening Sir.  Our former version was version 6. It was deployed on cloud server and on windows. There was no back up because we had the issue of storage space and the vendors were asked to increase the storage space for us. They told us they gave us 150GB but we discovered later we had only 50GB. When registering users,  it gives us internal system errors.  Submissions are not seen in the task pool, submitters are not authorized to submit,  a lot of metadata fields that are not necessary for the items, administrator keeps signing in to attend to each tasks,  submissions can't be returned to the pool and a lot more.  Most of them we have tabulated and sent to the vendors for rectification. Thanks.
