Hello Bikash,

It's a scary thing to send code by email and ask people to look at it (download it). Best to change it to a text file first.

That said, I have been using Georgetown University's (Terry Brady's) File Analyzer to create SAFs for batch uploading. It is work to set up ( you'll need to install Maven, etc.) but once you have it running it works like a charm. :-)

Others here may have easier ideas, though.

Best wishes,

Hi,

I have a python script enclosed here for uploading batch item & bitstream in dspace. But though it I can only upload a single pdf whereas I required to upload multiple pdf in the single item. Can anyone guide how to do the same?

Hello Bikash,

I can't help with your script but I use James Creel's SAFCreator to create SAFs (Simple Archive Format packages) for batch uploading. It works for batches of hundreds of files and supports multiple files per item. It's one of several tools available to create SAFs, and I don't know much about the rest, but SAFCreator was very quick and easy to set up and is easy to use.

Good luck!

Good morning (in my part of the world) Laura,

Thank you for sending this information along! It looks like this tool is currently supported, while the Georgetown is not (Terry Brady left GU years ago). I may move to using this.

Best wishes,
Yvonne
