How to find number of datasets in your DSpace repository?

Hello,

I received a request to find out how many datasets are hosted in our DSpace repository and I'm not sure how to resolve it.  I'm looking in the database tables right now, but I'm not sure it's in any of the metadatavalue fields.  Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In our DSpace v. 6.4 repository, “dataset” is one of the dc.type entries.  I export all the metadata for the repository, combine all of the variants of dc.type ([en], [en-US], etc.) into one dc.type column, then sort that column to find the datasets.

If you don't have Dataset as a content type, you could search for .csv, .xls, .ods, etc. as mimetypes in the metadata, or use the REST Query Client to select "Bitstream data to return" and then select "Bitstream Format."  There's also a filter that excludes documents and images.
