Installation Error

Dear Community Support Team,

I am facing error when i am trying to install dspace on my local machine its show below error:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.codehaus.mojo:buildnumber-maven-plugin:1.4:create (default) on project dspace-api: Cannot get the revision information from the scm repository :
[ERROR] Exception while executing SCM command.: Error while executing command. Error while executing process. Cannot run program "git" (in directory "/build/dspace-6.3-src-release/dspace-api"): error=2, No such file or directory
