DSpace 7 Simple item page customization

Hello together,

I hope this finds you well. my name is Matthias and my job is to develop a DSpace 7 solution for a university library.

I already customized the submission by initializing entities, mapping the submissions to collections and configuring the publication submission form in item-submission and submission-forms.xml.

For example I added new metadata fields relevant for our phd thesis submissions, such as supervisor (as dc.contributor.advisor) and date of exam (as dc.date.accepted) and those metadata values are already saved into the DB as they should when submitted. However, most of the submitted metadata won't shop up on the simple item page (only on the full item page).

So: How do I configure the item page so that I can add more fields to be shown in the simple page? Also, I want to limit the space where the abstract is shown (I want it like in this example: https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/entities/publication/3f1be267-7ec1-48de-89f8-c050bc61438b) 

Is there file anywhere that I could write those changes into?

I did this by adding fields to
'app/item-page/simple/item-types/untyped-item/untyped-item.component.html'.
(I created a customized copy in our local theme.)
