Changing a file from Word to PDF in the Pool

Dear All

When receiving a new submission in the pool, if the submitted file is a Word and we would like to change it to PDF we have to approve the submission (with the word file)  and then go to the record, edit the Items bitstreams, remove the word file and upload the PDF file.

Can't we edit the submission before approving it and change the file when available in the pool, then approve the submission?

You can allow the edition of the files during the revision process by enabling the option reviewer.file-edit=true in the file dspace/config/modules/workflow.cfg
