Accents and diacritics on the API

Hello all,

I am developing a system that will access information from the DSpace API.

And I need to access the /rest/filtered-items queries to be able to filter some results.

The problem is that although I can make the filters case-insensitive, I have not find a way to make it accent-insensitive.

I have access to the Postgres Database, but cannot alter the source code from Dspace.

Do you guys have any suggestion on how to deal with this? Is there any configuration that I can change?
