Dear All,
I am a novice in using DSPACE.
I have recently installed Dspace for our office needs to host a small database of primary data on endangered languages. For this purpose I needed to change the submission form to meet our metadata scheme. Based on instructions available online I have modified the input-forms.xml file. After loading the input form and restring the sever my new input form UI is viable. However on filling the form and clicking next I get a error instead of going to the next page in the submission process. Why is it? Can any of you take a look at the attached form file and error report and help me out to rectify the error?

PS. I have no background in programming.

Hi,

Please make sure that whatever metadata you have added in the input-forms.xml file, it should also exist in the metadata registry. For example, you put dc.Place in your input forms, you should also add that in the metadata registry. You can do that by logging in as the administrator and then click the link Metadata under the Registries context menu. Click the appropriate metadata schema and then add the new metadata field that you included in the input-forms.xml file.

Hope this helps,
euler
