DSNC Outreach opportunities NEXT WEEK!

Hello Outreach Committee and Election Committee members!

We are going to be setting up tables in Statue Park next week!  The hope is to increase the visibility of the DSNC, talk to people, hand out flyers, let folks know about the upcoming election, and even sign up and verify new members while we're there.

The times are tentative because they haven't been confirmed by the city yet, but the current schedule is:

Tuesday April 7, noon-2pm

Thursday April 9, 5-7pm

Saturday April 11, noon-4pm

Please sign up for a slot (or two! or three!) on this spreadsheet.  

I can provide a table and chairs.  I'm *hoping* we'll have some newly designed flyers ready to hand out by then.  I'd like to have at least 2 people sign up for each slot, but it's definitely a "the more the merrier" situation.  

And if anyone wants to help me with logistics (like transporting tables & chairs, printing flyers, making a QR code link to the website, etc) let me know.

RE: The spreadsheet: I am actually available for any of the timeslots (I'm not so busy!) but only want to sign up for one (I do have lots to do just not time constrained). I am waiting for others to sign up to see where I'd be of most use. Maybe others are doing the same thing? So, I'll sign up for all three but then expect some of those entries will be deleted in the future. I suggest others do the same if applicable.

Hi all,

The weather tomorrow looks iffy but Thursday and Saturday are looking pretty good.  Thanks for signing up!  I'm excited to try this out!

I will bring a table and chairs and flyers and a QR code that links to the membership form.  Also some paper membership forms and pens.  Other things we should have?

I’m making the call to cancel today’s tabling—it’s snowing now and scheduled to turn to drizzle later.  Not fun.

But the weather for Thursday and Saturday looks good.

I haven't discussed it yet, it's a good idea and I'm a supporter if someone wants to organize it.  I know nothing about the logistics (hours? permission to set up a table?) and I don't think I can be there on Sunday.  But I will be there on Saturday and we can make sure the table & chairs and flyers go home with someone who wants to make it happen on Sunday.

And even if we can't make this coming Sunday work, it's a good idea for the outreach committee to set up at future Small Marts.
