I wasn't able to make this event before but I'd love to see it happen again (so I can go this time!).  I'm happy to help out--what's involved in making this happen?  Is this something the board needs to ok before we proceed?

We need to work with Flatbread to pick a date and tell people to show up. It's possible the board has already been working on plans for some other event, especially Louisa. I will wait to hear from them.

Last year I polled the mailing list to pick the day of the week. I think we did a Thursday. If we're going ahead should I do that again or just pick a day?

Thanks for forwarding this note. I have actually been meaning to follow up with you. When we spoke last you offered to dig out your Flatbread contact's email address. So this is perfect. I'll reach out to them. The board has already discussed this and wants to move forward with the idea. They also suggested an ice-cream social. The new Program Committee can work on both. Do you want to join us Rebecca? And once we have details lined up, I'd love the Outreach Committee's help in promoting this.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the offer. I wrote to Victoria at Sacco's last week and just nudged her again today. She responded a few minutes ago, simply saying "Just let me know a date that works for y'all and I can check to see if we have it available." Once we have a date selected, it might be helpful to loop in Jim to figure out exactly what can be donated etc. Did he pay for both the pizza and bowling last year?

Does anyone have thoughts on when we should hold this? Looks like last year's party was a Monday in July.

I'm adding the new programs committee to this thread and correcting the board email address.

Last year they paid for pizzas and I think salads, and bowling. We only had to cover drinks and we collected to tip the servers. We asked for some of the pizza to be gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian. They will ask to estimate the number of people. Last year we said 50 and that was pretty accurate. They were very accomodating and made additional pizza for people who arrived late after the food was gone.
