to DSI Studio
Good morning,

I am trying to use DSI studio's CMI to create parametric maps using the following command:
dsi_studio --action=rec --source=*.src.gz --method=3 --param0=1.25 --output=/output_folder_location --other_output=all

But the command executes with an error:
/opt/dsi-studio/dsi_studio: No match.

Am I missing a flag?  The command I run to create the source file executes without issue dsi_studio --action=src --source=/path/to/data/data.nii.gz --bval=bvals --bvec=bvecs

I also tried via the GUI on my windows desktop and I was able to create the source and FIB files, but no parametric maps, even when I have the advanced option clicked.  (see attached)

Thanks for any and all help!
Jeanette

Hah!  Well, color me red.  Thanks for the feedback.

I altered the method to 4 and still got the same error.  Am I missing something else?
% /opt/dsi-studio/dsi_studio --action=rec --source=*.src.gz --method=4 --param0=1.25 --output=/DSI_studio --other_output=all
/opt/dsi-studio/dsi_studio: No match.

Hi.  Thank you again for your assistance.
Just wanted to follow-up to see if you had any thoughts why I still wasn't getting parametric maps, even using method = 4.

Thanks,
Jeanette

Sorry I have no idea.
"No match" is not an error message from DSI Studio.
It seems to be an error from the operation system or the calling script.

Thanks for the reply.
Oddly when I tried the GUI I also didn't get output, but was able to get a FIB file.

Thoughts?

Perhaps checking the "console" button at the GUI to see if there is a hint.

Hi Frank,

I am finally able to come back around to this and I didn't get any useful information from the console output on the Linux machine, but I was able to run the command line via a windows machine (linux interface) and got the following:

It looks like the options I am requesting aren't available, which would explain the Linux "no match" error.

Thank you for your help.

Mar 24 2021 version is a bit outdated. Could you use the most recent version and see if it works?

I downloaded the "dsi_studio_win_cpu" aka "CPU version if GPU doesn't work" (I don't have a GPU) and I still do not have parametric maps.  Below is my run and the listing of the folders after.

The CLI seems to run okay. I am not sure what the "parametric maps"
are. Could you provide more details?

My apologies.  I call the MD, FA, RD, AD maps parametric maps.  Are they not output as separate files?  If not, then I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused.
I was hoping to do a direct comparison to the MD, FA, RD, etc maps I already have to see how they compare.
If they are not output as separate files, is there a way to parse them out via command line so I can create them in a loop?

Those maps are stored within the fib file.
You can export them by
dsi_studio --action=exp --source=test.gqi.1.25.fib.gz --export=dti_fa,ad,rd,md
