Hi Frank,

When I ran the fiber tracking with the same fib file, the result from GUI and CLI were different both in statistics and visualization.

In GUI, I ran the autotracking. Below is the result:

I used the parameter_id in the window to run it in console. Here is my command:
--action=trk --source=*.fib.gz --track_id=Frontal_Aslant_Tract_L --parameter_id=c9A99193Fb803FdbF041b484340420Fdc02CDCC4C3Ec --output=*.FATL.tt.gz
Below is the result:

From the window, the parameter_id is the same, and all the tracking settings are the same but the results are different. (the left column is from GUI and right from CLI)

I am wondering why this difference occurs and which result is more reliable.

Best,
Allison

Hi Allison,

You can click on the console button at GUI (main window) to get the internal message.

Also, for CLI, you can direct the message by adding > log.txt

Comparing these two outputs will give you a hint of the difference.

Best,
Frank
