I would like to ask whether it is expected that the latest GitHub version of DSI Studio, which includes the TumorSynth plugin, cannot currently be compiled on macOS.

I have attempted to build the most recent source code, but encountered issues during compilation. Could you please clarify if macOS support for this update is still pending, or if there are specific build requirements or steps that I may be missing?

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

The Mac version is compiled and should be able to use the updated TumorSynth and also SynthSeg2.

Hi, I might be a bit rusty with GitHub, but I’m having trouble locating the precompiled build from that workflow run. I checked the page, but I don’t see any downloadable artifact.

I also tried compiling it locally: I managed to fix several errors along the way, but I still can’t get a properly working compiled version.

As far as I understand, preview builds from GitHub Actions should normally be available under the “Artifacts” section of the run page... am I missing something, or was the build not uploaded there?

The downloadable versions are available at the release page. The same download links are on the DSI Studio website.

Thanks for the clarification.

Just to make sure I understood correctly: does this mean that the compiled versions of the latest (preview/nightly) builds are not available for download, neither on the website nor on GitHub, and that only the versions published on the Releases page are accessible?

I was looking at the Actions run assuming the compiled Mac build might be downloadable from there, but it seems that’s not the case.

Thank you!  I was (am!) indeed quite rusty with GitHub.

I have just tested it on a November 2024 MacBook Pro 16" with an Apple M4 Max and 128 GB of RAM, and the segmentation speed is genuinely impressive: most segmentations take less than a minute, and some are nearly instantaneous depending on the segmentation type selected /datasaet used. So far I have only performed an initial test, but the preliminary performance looks very promising.

If helpful, I’d be happy to provide you with more detailed feedback on the individual segmentation workflows after testing them on a broader range of brain tumor cases with varying complexity.
