Dear Frank,

I am trying to perform "Differential tractography for cross sectional data" following the instruction "http://dsi-studio.labsolver.org/Manual/individual-connectometry".

After step C1 and C2, I created a "qa.db.fib.gz" file containing diffusion data of local healthy contrasts. Later, the QSDR was performed with step C1 for an individual patient, and got PT001.fib.gz. As QSDR was performed, I directly exported the QA image with Step T3 from PT001.fib.gz and thought it was in the ICBM152 space. This QA image of PT001 was inserted into the db file "qa.db.fib.gz" in T3 with "Insert MNI Images". However, the step "Add Tracking Metrics" was always failed, with a log "Cannot find matched metrics among qa, color, ..., PT001_QA".

I tried the following steps to hunt the bug:
1) Changed to a windows version of the latest DSIstudio;
2) Tested with "mni_icbm152_t1..._09c.nii.gz" file copied from the DSIstudio installation directory.
All these steps were failed and got the same error log.

Looking forward to your reply! Thank you

Best,

Peng-Hu Wei

Hi Peng-Hu,

What did you input at [Add Tracking Metrics] ?

It should be either qa-PT001_QA or PT001_QA-qa

Best regards,
Frank

Hi Frank,

The file I input at [Add Tracking Metrics] was exported from a QSDR fib file of PT001, in steps of [Step T3: Fiber tracking] > [Export] > [Save qa].

I tried to rename the exported QA file to PT001_QA-qa but still failed with the log "Cannot find matched metrics among qa ... " in further steps.

How can I get a file of qa-PT001_QA or PT001_QA-qa?

Best regards,

Peng-Hu

It seems that the metrics you input at [Add Tracking Metrics] is wrong. You have to make sure that the name matched the one shown on the slice list.
Best regards,
Frank

Dear Frank,

I have realized the cross-sectional comparison under your suggestions—many thanks.

Right now, I have a new question. During differential tracking, we typically could only get the middle fragment of the fibers. Are there any algorithms or approaches that could prolong the fibers to the cortex so that we can localize the exact cortical pathological change?

Best regard,

Peng-Hu

use [Tracts][Tract to ROI] and run regular fiber tracking.
