Glad that at least AE will import PDF's as PR does not.

However, when I import a Multi Page PDF to AE, I only get page one.
What step am I missing. Do I really need to break apart the pages and save them individually to bring into After Efx ( AE)

Thanks DS Alum...

Hi Jim,
You can import each page separately into Photoshop and then export them to After Effects.
Best regards,

To the extent I needed to import PDFs into something that is involved in video, I have imported them using Photoshop, which gives you the option to pick the page in a multi-page PDF that you wish to import.

What I would do is save each page as a separate file that could be imported into an editor.

I have never imagined that a multipage PDF file could be imported as a sequence directly into a video editor.

Hi DS list, you're still here!
Apologies, I can't even remember how to post a new thread here so I'm just replying to this one...

The reason I'm visiting this list again (it was the best User Group on the web in its day) does anyone know a show called 'Tim And Eric Awesome Show, Great Show!'? It's nonsense but it seems like it was made around 2007 and I wondered if anyone knows if it was made using Avid|DS, all the post and graphics look like pure 2000s DS to me.

Apologies again for hijacking this thread. Great to see that the DS list still survives..
Many thanks

Jamie Dickinson

 Hi Jamie,

I’ve never heard of it so I Googled for an episode. Yes, it looks very 2000’s and whilst it could have been made on DS, none of the effects I saw looked distinctly DS-ish, particularly all the motion effects with ‘bumps’ when they land. That would all have had to be manually animated on DS at that time. I’d suspect that it was mostly After Effects.

All of the above is my opinion however, and maybe someone else knows better.

Cheers,
Tony
