Just noticed the new slack space. Just joined and it seems not many people there. By default, there is no channel there. Can you let me know is there existing channels to ask questions?

Hi!  The channel just launched last Thursday and has 90 members currently, and response times are currently under a few hours.  You should have been invited automatically to #general and #troubleshooting, either would be fine to ask questions.

By the way, does it mean that we are migrating to this new slack space and the intention is that the old slack space would gradually phase out?

I think the Druid PMC wanted a more inclusive community experience and the ASF workspace doesn't make it easy for new people to join.  But ASF owns that workspace so it is up to them to decide what to do with it.
