How to import data into Druid from a csv?

What's the simplest way to import data into Druid from a csv file? From the documentation it's not really clear because the approach described there is a bit complex.

Hi,

Please see http://druid.io/docs/0.8.0/tutorials/tutorial-loading-batch-data.html which has an example for loading data from a file containing json records.

You can follow same and change the

"parser" -> "parseSpec" -> "format" be "csv" instead of "json" . Please see the docs for csv parsing at http://druid.io/docs/0.8.0/ingestion/index.html#csv-parsespec

Are metricsSpec and granularitySpec mandatory?

Yes they are. They define the columns that you will aggregate over and your rollup. You may want to read:
