Hello,

I just noticed that this folder (Library/Containers/com.mudflatsoftware.DropSync3) on my internal SSD contains 3.28GB of data. I only use DropSync to mirror two external drives, never my internal SSD.

Just wondering what this is, and why it is there? More importantly, is it necessary to remain on my hard drive? I was hoping to delete it...

Thanks.

Dear RC,

Sorry this is taking up so much space.  The folder on your internal SSD is necessary because that is where DropSync places important temporary files.  Don’t delete this folder.  In general the folder shouldn’t take up much space at all however if you have been doing some large syncs it may have accumulated large log files.  You can control how often these logs are purged in preferences.

Open the preferences window.  Under “Activity Log” you should see a text box to change the number of days after which activity logs will be deleted.  You may need to restart the app to trigger deletion of the older log files.

I hope that helps
Best wishes
Ira
