Loading drools file from workflow

Hi Folks,

I have JBPM 7.8 and drools 7.8 in my work bench.

In a workflow, for a business rule task i am trying to include the rules via properties tab.

When i click on the Ruleflow Group label it's not listing me any files to select. For now as a work around i am manually entering the rule flow group name and executing the workflow and it works.

Can anyone please help on this issue.

Additionally, I have been using guided decision tables to generate the rules.

I don't see any .drl files in my repository but the files are in .gdst extension. How to load the .gdst files in the ruleflow group properties. Should i configure anything specific for this.

I don't know jBPM so my comments are limited to this respect.

AFAIK you type (or possibly select) a Rule Flow Group rules in which will be activated by the Business Rule Task.

I assume, if none of your rules are in a Rule Flow Group, you won't get anything listed.. but I've BCCed some colleagues who are more familiar with jBPM and Process Designer.

GDST is the persistent format of Guided Decision Tables; when the KJAR is compiled these are converted into DRL.

This looks like the gist is not index to extract ruleflow-group attribute and thus won’t show up on the list to pick up. So I’d say this could be improved assuming we can get the ruleflow-group from the gist file - Mike?

We do extract the Rule Flow Group from GDSTs during indexing...

We are assuming the OP has RFG's on their GDSTs.

RFG's are there.

I've checked with 7.11.0-SNAPSHOT and it works all OK (both legacy Process Designer and the new one).

I'll try to find an older WAR to check too.

Tested with 7.8.0-Final and it works OK too.

You need to click on the dropdown icon on the Ruleflow Group property.

Yes Mike i am clicking on the ruleflow group drop down icon but it says its loading but not showing the pop up to pick the rule file.

OK, just tried with kie-wb-7.8.0-Final-eap7 and it worked fine with that too.

All I can suggest is to review the logs... kie-wb normally needs more heap space than EAPs default.
