I received the offer to sell SLF shares back but curious why would any one do it when they are only offering $61.80 / share but the current price of SLF is about $87.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Hello - The company buys the shares at a low price and then re-sells them into the market at the higher price - they make the profit.
Basically a scam. Ignore it

It’s a scam like Robert said, but if you had less than 2 shares (maybe someone dripping quit) then it might be worth selling to them to avoid the transaction costs involved.

Thanks for the responses. Thats what I thought but wanted to confirm. Did understand why they would bother wasting time making the offer .
