Hi everyone in the Dream3D community,

I’ve successfully built a fully rolled texture model. Attached are the visualized model and the Dream3D parameter settings used. However, when performing compression simulations in Abaqus, I observed a wavy deformation pattern. Under uniform compression, I would expect uniform deformation, but instead, a wave-like distortion appeared. I’d like to ask whether there might be an error in the model setup—perhaps the generated model is not truly a fully rolled texture. I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you!

The structure looks generally rolled. I would probably ask on the Ansys help forums.

Thank you for your reply! I will follow your suggestion and ask in the Abaqus forums.

Additionally, I’d like to ask: in Dream3D, if I want to generate a fully rolled or partially rolled texture, is this controlled in the Insert Transformation Phase step? Thank you!

Hello,
The control for the rolled morphology is in the StatsGenerator filter. I believe there is an example pipeline that shows its use.
