Grain Data from EBSD Data

Hi,

    I am working on Crystal Plasticity Simulation (CPFEM). To work on that I need to do the initial step of microstructure generation. The requirement for this step is to get grain data( seed position, average orientation) from EBSD Input(.ang). Please help me extracting grain data from available .ang file.

Available file: .ang & .ctf

Available data: Voxel coordinate, voxel orientation and other

Required: Grain's seed position, average grain orientation, if possible weight of seed.

Hello,

     In the “Prebuilt Pipelines->Examples->INL_Export” is an example of importing an EBSD .ANG file and processing it. This pipeline was develop specifically for that data set and the parameters used in that pipeline are specific to that EBSD data set. Your data may need more or less processing. Once you have an acceptable segmentation then you can start applying the various statistics filters. If you look in “Prebuilt Pipelines->Workshop->EBSD Statistics” there are a number of pipelines that show the various filters that can be used.
