Hello,

I work on the microstructure of martensitic steel and I use DREAM3D to generate a synthetic microstructure.
I have seen on publications some excellent examples of microstructures that have been made with DREAM3D. The process of their generation is as follows:
- The creation of the parent grains (austenitic grains)
-The construction of martensitic subsets in each parent grain.
(Rencostruction.PNG) attached is an image of this process.
Could you provide me with a pipeline already built that allows to generate these microstructures? If not, please indicate how we can cut the parent grains into subsets ?

As you can see in the attached microstructure.PNG image, in each parent austenitic grain, there are sub-blocks of martensitic lates.

Thank you very much for your help,
Ali

There is a filter called “insert transformation phase” which I think might do what you are requesting.
